Somehow this came out much darker than we had originally anticipated. But the message stands: a well prepared fanboy is one who's ready for all obstacles. You gotta be mentally tough! I'm looking at you, Jordan Ferguson. This strip isn't exactly a direct response to his article because, frankly, he does make good point. In fact, last year's Fan Expo was so cramped and claustrophobia-inducing that the group I had gone with decided to leave and head over to Hooters instead. Now don't judge. It was just one of the closer places to go to. But I must say that this year was a HUGE change. Thankfully, those in charge of running the Fan Expo rented out the entire convention center (rather than just half of it, like in previous years). Long waits were replaced with long walks through the relatively spacious halls of the convention. A fair exchange, I would say, as the congestion of the past Fan Expos left me regretting the fact that I didn't bring a can of air freshener (see how I bring it back to the comic?). So today's strip begins our latest arc in what's known as our "Con Saga" (short for "Comic con"). It's just a reflection on our time spent at many years' worth of Fan Expos.
