Because we totally did this on purpose. It wasn't two months ago at a Tim Hortons with Khaiam Dar and (fellow 22 Pages contributor) Jordan Ferguson, where we were discussing how best to close out this final panel. What could have made a fitting gag for Jameel's commission piece? "Fifty Shades of Greyskull" had been done. A tasteful orgy of 80s cartoon was deemed 'too much'. Political satire? Eh... I was a bit hesitant but quickly turned gung ho once I remembered that we pretty much have Chris Farley as our mayor. We don't do very much political satire and this here is the reason why. If this strip had come out in January, how relevant would it have been? Not very. But today? The day after Mayor Rob Ford gets booted from his position? Quite relevant. Truth be told, I'll miss the fat bastard.
